Alice just smiled to herself and settled against him, nuzzling back briefly as she focused back on the movie.

As it progressed and soon Luke in guise of a storm trooper found Leah in her cell. When he paused, awestruck by her ‘unintentionally’ sexy pose, Alice winced and snorted to herself. “I just want to yell at him, ‘don’t look at your sister that way!’.” She laughed, rubbing her face against Six’s shirt for a moment.

That got another laugh out of him, and he gave her shoulder a playful little swat. “Come on, he had no way of knowing that at the time. And at least the two of them never went any further than one kiss.” His smile was wry. “I’m sure that became a ‘we shall never speak of it again’ moment for them when everything was over.”

The thought of them going further than one kiss had her making a face and snorting. “Ew!” She snuggled into him. “Oh, I’m sure it was!” Her grin split wide and she laughed out loud. “I bet Han used it later to torture them. ‘Remember that time when you kissed your brother?’”

As she fell into a giggling fit against he shoulder, she had to wonder if maybe she was more tired than she realized. It didn’t matter. She was enjoying this.

Alice snorted and giggled as he buried his face against her shoulder. His laughing was infectious.

When he finally leaned back, she grinned crookedly and drew a finger down his nose. “That’s why they call it fiction~” she chuckled, bopping the end of his nose gently as she slid to the side a little, one leg slung over his hips as she looked back to the movie. “Besides! If they’d been so adept, then there’d be no story!”

"I know, I know," he chuckled. "Like I said, I know it’s not an important detail. It’s just … suspension of disbelief only goes so far!"

But, true to his word, Six said no more about it. He nuzzled Alice’s forehead, and watched as the movie continued to unfold before them.

Alice just smiled to herself and settled against him, nuzzling back briefly as she focused back on the movie.

The idea of being in the spotlight was bad enough without it being an actual light on center stage. Performance arts though…that could work.

"That…that could work." She repeated aloud, cracking a small bit of a grin. "I guess if I’m going to do it, I might as well find a way to enjoy it somehow."

[Seeing the woman’s hesitation, Wendalyn muses over what could help the situation. She’s not sure whether it’s stage fight or concern with trying something new or concern that she’ll be captured anyway, so that doesn’t help her think of how it fix it. Not knowing what to say, she defaults to jokes.] Just think, you could still wear tights and a mask until you settle into the role.

The thought of prancing around in tights got a snort out of he that she tried to stifle. “Not sure about the tights..but a mask sounds perfect.” Her smile spread. “A little anonymity till I’m comfortable with it, hm? Actually makes it a lot less daunting to think about.” She admitted, exhaling and running her fingers over the back of the dog’s neck.

Glancing up at Wendalyn with sudden curiosity. “Did you ever wear a mask?”

"Hey-" She squeaked, feeling the warm wet brush of a tongue on her cheek. Jerking slightly, she caught a glimpse of blue skin and a big head and started to grin- only to freeze when she realized this was NOT the blue person she was expecting. Her face flamed a bright red and she spluttered in her surprise. "H-Harrison! Hi! Wh-…what was that for??"

"Will do." Her smile warmed, pausing in her steps to check. "Your number is still the same, right?" Not that there was much chance she wouldn’t be able to find a way to get a hold of him, but a direct line was always the most expedient.

"Absolutely," Harrison replied, flashing a bright white smile.  "Call me any time.  I always have time for my friends.  Or I’ll make time."  He’s not sure what is on her mind, but it’s clear something is bothering her.

"Excellent." She smiled genuinely, giving a short nod before she turned to start off again. Giving him one last wave. "I’ll talk to you soon!"

"I’m good." She might as well have purred it, hugging herself as close to him as she could get as he squeezed her. It was indeed immeasurably comforting to be like this with him, snuggled so close that just about the only space between them was occupied by the thin layers of their clothing. "It’s better with you here." That sounded incredibly sappy..but it was true.

"Mmmm. I could say the same about you." He nuzzled against her hair again, and shifted so that he could give her a proper kiss. Not a passionate one, but a tender one, just to prove his words and how much she meant to him.

They continued to watch the movie together. Six smiled when Han Solo made his appearance (he remembered he’d been quite fond of that character the last time he saw the film), and was privately impressed at his command of languages - he could understand Chewbacca and Greedo perfectly, and other aliens and robots too. Not bad at all, for a human.

The horrific destruction of Alderaan made him freeze and cuddle against Alice again. It reminded him too much of the long-ago destruction of his own planet, when that rogue black hole had appeared in their solar system. The memory was an old one, not as painful as the ones the torture droid had brought up, but he was still deeply relieved when the scene was over.

Soon after that, the Millennium Falcon was brought on board the Death Star. As troopers made only the barest search through the craft, for some reason known only to him, Six began to giggle.

She smiled and exhaled a hum when he kissed her, receiving the message loud and clear, before settling her cheek against his chest to turn back to the movie.

Alice’s smile spread and she nuzzled her cheek against his collarbones as the scene shifted. She didn’t know Six’s thoughts on Han Solo or Chewbacca, but Han had always been her favorite character, the droids next in line. Admittedly, for vastly different reasons. What teenage girl hadn’t fallen in love with the snarky rogue? It didn’t hurt that young Harrison Ford had been so very pleasant to look at.

The connection didn’t form as instantly for Alice this second time Six seemed affected by the movie, but she cuddled him back, doubling the effort when she did realize. Of course seeing the planet’s destruction would mean something to him. In response, she let her body relax against his, cuddling him back warmly, encouraging and trying to sooth him with the warm drape of her body.

Just when she’d begun to settle in again, watching the movie contently from her resting place atop him….Six began to giggle. She felt the slight jerky rumble of it against her cheek before she smirked and peeked up at him, giving him a curious look. There wasn’t much humorous about the scene that she could see. “What?” She asked curiously, grinning to herself.

white-celled-six said: “Fuck Me," the blue man said, with a lewd wink.

Alice looked up at him over the top of her he sketchbook when he suddenly spoke. It took a moment to register what he’d actually said, seeing the very specific look on his face, but when she did, a hot blush rushed beneath her skin. A sort of surprised snort-giggle came escaped her and the sketchbook slipped from her fingers, flopping against her stomach where she was reclined over her half of the couch.

"Wh-..what?" Her lips tilting in an uncertain grin, face hot, but a light already glinting somewhere in the back of her eyes. She’d heard him alright.

The public eye. That sounded very reminiscent of what Harrison had been encouraging…maybe it was worth another try. As much as publicity was not something she’d ever wanted, as much as she feared someone would figure out the link between her and the assumed arson that had sent her running to Metro City…..even that was outweighed by her want to keep her baby safe, to keep Six safe.

The brush of Wendalyn’s hand was warm and she met her gaze steadily. Her fingers curled into Fakk 2’s fur, great full for the comforting presence of the big dog. Very talented dog, it sounded like. A faint smile pulled at her lips and she scratched behind the dog’s ears. “Wish my cats were that helpful.” She tried to joke lightly, anxiety still gripping her nerves though she pressed it back. “She’s a wonderful dog.”

She rubbed the dog’s fur for a moment, taking comfort in the normality, before she spoke again. “I…don’t know that I could be a hero. My, uh..ability, doesn’t really lend itself to heroics.” It was a power for destruction.

Thank you. [Wendalyn doesn’t bother mentioning how much she’d paid for her dogs to be that useful or how many she’d lost to them being useful. It does serve to remind her how hard it will be to replace Fakk 2 when the dog eventually dies. It’s not like she’ll be able to just ask the trainer from her dimension to train a new one. Besides, Fakk 2 is a little unique in her own right because not every dog is so adept at reading strangers, but Fakk 2 is never wrong in approaching people that Wendalyn can tolerate. Somethings you just can’t teach.]

Well, technically, you wouldn’t ever have to be a hero. All you’d have to do is find something you’re comfortable with that puts you out in the public in a positive way. There are normal human jobs that make people notice you and want you around, it doesn’t have to involve your powers at all. That being said, if you ever did decide to use your powers to make yourself known, I bet you could make for a very flashy chef. [She grins cheekily at Alice, trying to make light of the situation.]

Being comfortable in the public eye sure sounded like one big contradiction to her, but she nodded, cracking a grin at Wendalyn’s chef suggestion. “If I could cook, I bet you’d be right!” She chuckled. “Somehow I doubt my grilled ham and cheese would make it to the gourmet food scene.” But she did have a point, and Alice thought it over as she ran her fingers through Fakk 2’s fur.

"Maybe…there’s some kind of performance art or something.." She mused out loud.
